Terrain inventory is used to describe the landscape in terms of
surface material (the loose deposits on top of bedrock), landform
(the 3D shape of the deposits) and geomorphological processes (the
natural mechanisms that continue to shape the landscape). |

The vegetation resources inventory uses both photo interpretation
and detailed ground sampling to arrive at an accurate assessment
of timber volume and other vegetation resources within a predefined
unit. |
