Cadastral Data

Crown land Cadastral Data for British Columbia is available for purchase in digital format. The spatial data we provide through this site is current. The original data is updated daily in SDE format by our GIS section. Although the data we provide to you is the most current digital spatial data available on the day we extract your data, the spatial data is updated daily by our GIS staff; therefore, all data we provide is subject to the disclaimer which is part of the agreement in Step #2. Please note: The cadastral data we sell includes only Crown land cadastral data, but does not include private parcel cadastral data. Online Cadastre is a free online mapping application that provides a 'view only' representation of Crown land cadastral data.

To order digital spatial cadastral data follow these five steps :

Step #1
Read the background material:

		Introduction
		Product descriptions
		Meta-data information
		Information Letter that describes the data attributes, format, precision, what data is included and what data is not included.

Step #2
Print the appropriate Agreement, read it carefully, then sign it. If you are working with a contractor who will have access to the digital data, then the contractor must also sign the Agreement.

Step #3
Complete this Digital Data Order Form

Step #4
Calculate the cost for the maps you are ordering and cut a cheque made payable to the Minister of Finance of British Columbia.

Step#5
Send us the following:

	1.	the completed Agreement
	2.	The completed Digital Data Order Form with a list of maps you are ordering, and
	3.	your cheque

Our Process and Timing
When we receive your order we will check it to ensure the three items specified in Step #5 are included and correct. If everything we require is received, we will usually have your maps ready within three business days.

In most cases we can email the spatial data to you when you order less than 3 megabytes of data (approximately 8 average sized BCGS maps). For larger orders we either FTP the maps to your FTP site or we will setup a password protected FTP site on our server where you can retrieve the maps.
